Establishing a New Self Managed Superannuation Fund
Establishing a new fund: PSS will provide:
- Three copies of a solicitor drafted trust deed
- Minutes to establish the fund
- Investment Strategy - this will be a "mission statement' designed to compliment the plan drafted by your investment adviser
- Member Applications and Benefit Transfer forms
- Information for Members - about self managed super funds is included to assist the members gain a better understanding of super
- Notes for Trustees
- In addition PSS will make the application for the fund to be regulated and to obtain an ABN and TFN for the fund.
We also offer ongoing support and advice to keep the fund compliant.

To assist us in helping you, could you please note:
- Incomplete details will hamper preparation of the new fund documents and may even prevent an application being made for an ABN and TFN.
- The rules regarding fund trustees are:
- for a 2-4 member fund, all members are required to be either individual trustees or directors of the corporate trustee and vice versa
- for a single member fund the trustee options are:
- single director company with the member being the director
- two director company with one of the directors being the fund's member
- two individual trustees one of which is the member
- If your accountant is to be the fund's auditor please advise, otherwise this section can be left blank.
- In early July we will contact you with regards to the information required to enable the preparation of the year end financial statements and independent audit of the fund to take place.
- The Tax Agent Reference Number is to enable your accountant, if applicable, to be able to talk with the ATO regarding your situation.
- Our target turnaround time is to have the documents sent within two days after complete instructions are received.
